About Pamela

Pamela J.P. Donison

Attorney, Researcher, Legal Writer.

After years of working with clients and managing my own firm, I (accidentally) discovered my very best work—the stuff that comes naturally —is legal research and writing. For the past few years, I have been providing legal research and writing  services to a handful of Arizona attorneys, acting as their on-call senior staff attorney, on an as-needed basis.

I love collaborating with like-minded colleagues, and I want to be there to help you plan ahead, make smart arguments, and hit the pillow knowing that your legal research and writing to-do lists are taken care of.

I look at every legal issue and think: how can I make this easier to understand, simpler for you to argue, and less expensive for everyone? That’s what drives me to do my best work. In advance of every project, I welcome a discussion about important questions in the case, planning for your deadlines and exhibits, so I can target my research and writing to help you obtain the very best outcome for your clients.

After a career in journalism and publishing, I attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, graduating in 1999. Since then, I have been practicing law, including several years in complex civil litigation and the remainder in family law. I have been trained in and practicing mediation since 2002 and have been a Collaborative Divorce practitioner since 2005. I have written, presented, and taught on the topics of family law, mediation, and collaborative practice since 2003.

My husband and I have been working remotely since 2017, allowing us to spend time between Arizona and Alberta, Canada.
